Ekonomijada 2010th is a traditional academic competition established by teamwork of students ,which used their ideas, effort and engagement to create this project. 12th year in a row It opens "it¨s doors" to students from our country and region. Every year, this project has been refreshed with new ideas and activities that encourage sports and academic spirit and also teamwork.This year¨s Ekonomijada is a perfect opportunity to use our free time, with laughter and joy, sport and fun, expand our horizons by exchanging knowledge, experience and ideas with others and thereby enrich ourselves for one more experience in life.

Destination Istria
The beautiful Croatian coast is the location of Ekonomijada 2009 and a place that will provide inspiration to all participants of this event. Ekonomijada's hometown is Rovinj and the sports-recreational resort Villas Rubin. This location with its infrastructure completely enables high quality of sport competitions without any interference. Accommodation site for participants and guests is located approximately 100 m from the terrains and courts where the competitions will be held. The whole complex is situated on the very coast of the Adriatic Sea and it includes a number of other facilities which make our camp a little town in which the friendly spirit of young people will merge with this event. Apart from having our little „Olympic“ village, the immediate vicinity of Rovinj will enable sightseeing of this beautiful Istrian city which offers a good night out in case our organized evening program doesn't meet your expectations.

Duration of the half program: 14th May – 16th May 2010 (Friday – Sunday)
Accommodation: apartments for 3 - 5 persons and double-bed rooms

The sports program will offer the participants rivalry in several sports within the program of Ekonomijada 2009. There will be an opportunity to also organize sports events outside the official competition which will be held on boules terrain or even in a firing range.
These sports are within the official competition:
- 5 aside soccer (men)
- basketball (men and women)
- beach volleyball (men and women)
Academic program is based on competition in writing projects following the rules of European Union IPA program which is an Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance. That instrument offers assistance within European Partnerships for potential candidate countries together with Accessing Partnerships of member countries.
Groups will be formed to compete in writing a specific IPA cross-border program. Students from two different countries will make one team whose goal will be to create a program which will in some way improve cooperation between Croatia and a specific neighbouring country.
For example:
- IPA cross-border program Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina (Faculty of Economics in Rijeka – Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo)
Since every program includes cooperation between Croatia and a specific country, the competition would require connecting students from Croatian faculties with students from a certain faculty in a specific neighbouring country (having students from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Hungary and Slovenia as particpants) and during Ekonomijada they would work together as a team in writing and presenting their project. The objective of this competition is that teams create projects, write project programs and present the projects to the judges.
